Marriot Hotel was the venue for "In My Life" Presscon. " In my Life" is a film by Olivia M. Lamasan under Star Cinema. It stars matinee Idols John Lloyd Cruz and Luis Manzano together with veteran actress and Star for all Seasons Ms. Vilma Santos!
A liberating story on how the love of two men taught a woman to move on and live again! This would be a film of many firsts. First for John Lloyd and Luis to play as homosexuals in a movie and first for JL to costar with Ms. Vilma Santos. And a comeback movie of Ms. Vilma Santos since her career change as a politician.
To prepare John Lloyd and Luis for their roles as Gaymen in New York, they were immersed and went to gay clubs in New York so they'd oriented, prepared and play their roles at their bests. John Lloyd also admitted that he never hesitated in doing a challenging role as a homosexual and considered it as a great challenge as an actor. Same goes for Luis. Luis and John Lloyd are very liberated when it comes to being friends with homosexuals because both have homosexual friends and works with homosexuals everyday from make up artists to scriptwriters.
Luis Manzano was proud to say that his mom complemented him of his talent skills as an actor. Luis had to deal with 2 challenges when acting side by side with his mom, first, he tries his best not to dissapoint his mom as a son, and to act well as a co star in the movie.
After the Press Con at Marriot Hotel, we ran off to Ayala Entertainment Center for the Mall Tour. The mall tour was hosted by ABS CBN's Kapamilya Winner Ka host, Kat Ross! Games entertained the fans while waiting for Luis Manzano, John Lloyd Cruz and Nikki Valdez! Go Shon! hehehe
After a few Games, Nikki Valdez sang a song for the Cebuanos. She has been in a long vacation away from showbiz with her family in LA, USA and now back and she costars with Luis, JL and Vilma in "In My Life."
Luis then danced with fans in a game of best dancer! Never thought he would be very funny. But he was. Very much like his dad, Edu Manzano.
John Lloyd then sang for his fans and fans where screaming like crazy, even the demure and very girly Allison screamed her lungs out! hahaha.
Games with the fans! And Congrats to Tonton for getting compliments from Nikki Valdez. She said "ang gwapo gwapo mo" 2times! LOL
