Got to love SM City Cebu more for launching their free WiFi Service at The Northwing and Cyberzone. Free Wifi service started on July 31, 2009 for The Northwing and Cyberzone and Mallwide Wifi Coverage on August 4, 2009.
Nikki Taylor spinned some music to start the Wifi Launch and then followed by a Reggae Band.
Cebu organizations like Cebu Bloggers Society and PSP Cebu supported the launch and enjoyed up to as much at 8mbps of Free WiFi Service. A PSP and a mobile phone were raffled off and the winners of the photoblog contest were also announced. To Sinjin and Jose, both CBS members, congratulations for winning the first and second prizes for the Photoblog contest who were awarded an HP Notebook for the first place and a mobile phone for the second place.
This strategic move by SM would create more traffic to the mall, since most Filipinos would always want to stay online and be socially active online.
Medical & Law students would definitely love this Free WiFi connection for them to be able to research and study even while inside the mall.
Gamers would also be enjoying this new SM service, enjoying endless versus battles on PSPs or even Farmtown on Facebook!
